For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.

God has given us a beautiful new week to understand and to prepare ourselves for what He expects from us and how He wants us to relate with Him.
One of the most misunderstood and even the very often taught and wrongly practiced things in the church today is the way we worship God. We keep defining worship one way or the other. But not all worship has to be the same.
Let’s look at a scripture from bible: John 4:24 ‘For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.’
There are two things that God is specifically trying to tell us:
– we have to worship Him in Truth and in Spirit which means we have to worship not just from our body not only from our soul but with our Spirit.
– we have to worship Him in truth meaning that you have to respond with the right theology to be able to relate with him.
So many times we worship God with false and incomplete understanding of what He has done for us and that is why we come to this absurd conclusion about life and here is Jesus telling us that if you want to worship Him, you will have to know the truth. People say I love Jesus but hardly know if Jesus is really a God.
The problem or challenge with something like this is that you might not know the complete truth or you might not be worshiping God in the complete understanding and walking in the Truth.
So as we prepare ourselves for a day full of worship we pray that you will give attention to the truth as much as the Spirit. If there is no truth that is laying foundation to your entire life, then the Spirit will not be able to respond to God. Your spirit will be responding to something else. It might be responding to a person or a song or a group of people signing song but it will fail to respond to God because Jesus said “I’m the way the Truth and the life”. If you seek Jesus you have to be willing to be on the side of the truth and there is no better or beautiful understanding of the truth to be able to read God’s word every day and ask God that I want to be exposed to be the truth of the word.
This morning when you read your bible ask this question – ‘Lord what is the one truth that you want me to discover?’ Because misunderstood worship or incomplete worship begins because of our lack of proper theology.
We pray that your worship will go to the next level and it will be no longer worship just in your mind but it will be as the bible says – you will worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
