Don’t Grumble
Listen
Transcript:
We have to begin our days by examining our voices and our thoughts in our head. So many times we leave our thoughts and desires unattended, which can eventually turn into a foothold for the enemy.
James 5:9, teaches for them those who are already believers, it is true that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, but there are some things in our midst and thoughts that could eventually lead us to judgement.
Something pointed out in the above verse is to not grumble and murmur about eachother.
It’s usually very normal that within a community there’s usually grumbling that happens. For example, in a company in today’s day and age, if an employee doesn’t like his or her boss, would respond with creating a ‘Whatsapp group’ and add other employees to the group to talk badly about and garner support against the boss.
Sometimes these grumblings are publicly done over Facebook statuses as well.
It’s natural for us to want to grumble about people we wouldn’t agree with, but what we need to do there even though the process could be frustrating, is to not grumble but to evaluate our feelings. Take our feelings to the throne of grace where it could be filled with God’s love.
Without grumbling, we must first pray so all blindness that we may have towards the situation gets lifted and invite the Lord to process our feelings, shedding light on it, giving us a clear solution.
Sometimes the Lord would respond with dreams, visions, men of God, words of encouragement etc.
When we let our emotions calm down and let the Lord speak to us, He will give us a clear perspective, then the challenge becomes easier to deal with and God’s solution can be used.
May we not express our personal opinions but instead express the opinion of God.
