Transcript:
Today let us go after the heart of God. Just seeking more information during our time of devotion and reading the bible is not enough, we have to pray and desire for His heart and to be like Him.
James 1:26 shows a state that most of us experience where we believe that we love God and yet we don’t take the effort to confess the right things.
During this season can we take special effort to be careful of what we speak? May every word we speak let it be edifying and God glorifying, bring peace and reflect the heart of God.
James in this verse says if you are religious and you are not controlling your tongue, then you are fooling yourself. Because it is your language that is ultimately going to aquit or condemn you before God.
It is ok to keep quiet when you are upset but it is unwise to say whatever comes to your mouth.
If you are intentional in controlling your tongue this season, then your walk with God will go to the next level.
If your words that you speak are a reflection of what you have understood from the scripture, then you are on your way to experiencing a supernatural breakthrough in being able to control your tongue.
