Deep Rooted Trust

The Lord desires to fight for us as a father, friend and defender if we continue to take our refuge and find protection in His wings. We will see His grace and power manifest in our lives.
In the scriptures, the Psalmist brings in an invite to different sets of people.
Firstly, the Israelites are the set-apart people of God. God speaks to them as they are a set-apart nation, they need to trust in the Lord. As we are called to serve God, a royal priesthood. God invites us in a deep-rooted trust with Him.
Secondly, it has been referred to the priests who bring sacrifices to honour Him. God is looking for people who bring in a sacrifice and worship Him and host His presence. If we know how to carry His presence, let us take the invitation to trust in Him as He is your helper and shield.
Thirdly, the psalmist speaks of those who fear and respect Him. He invites them to trust in God.
When we fight for ourselves, we are not trusting in God. Share on XLet us be attentive to trust in God on a daily basis. We are stewards of God. We must learn to trust the owner. Let us be reminded to be trusted in Him. He is your helper and the help will come in at the right time.
When we face attacks, God is our shield. This is not necessarily in the physical realm. Let us receive His help and come to the deep-rooted trust in Him.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
