Realignment of the Body
Listen
At times, realignment is not easy. It is going to cost us some pain and disappointments.
I remember when my children had dislocated their joints, the doctor would try to realign and place the joints back. That momentary pain would be so hard that it would seem like it was the end of the world.
But that realignment was necessary for their growth and healing in their lives.
Sometimes, God would cause a realignment in our lives and those moments will help us, in the long run, to grow as one body of Christ.
In the above verse, Apostle Paul teaches that each and every one of us is essential in the body of Christ. He goes on to say that the eye cannot say to the hand that I don’t need you and the head can’t say to the feet that I don’t need you.
Some of us may be the more effective parts of the body, some may be more visible and some may be quieter, but none can say to each other that they do not need the other.
None of us has the right to do that to anyone else.
So why is it that we as part of the body of Christ, where people are different, have different lifestyles to ours, different callings, different characteristics etc. that we think that we do not need them in the church because they are not similar to us?
We must not choose to only hang out with those we gel with or clique with.
It’s very normal for all the brain cells to say that they will hang out only with other brain cells and have nothing to do with the other cells of the body.
We can never say that we don’t need anybody else.
The next time if we hear anyone ever say that they are exclusive and that everybody must only listen to him or her, we must be aware and remember that we all depend on one another, we need each other and grow together as one family.
The moment we exclude one part of the church, saying “This is too hard. Too difficult. Too much to deal with. Can’t adjust to it. etc” and we push that part out of the church, then the body of Christ now becomes incomplete.
Just because we don’t see things the way others see or we don’t understand things the way others understand, we cannot declare them as unfit for the church, but we need to ask these questions within us, out loud. This way we get answers, clarity and correction from the Lord.
If we are to be able to host the revival season that is about to come upon the earth or bear fruit of value with the body of Christ and grow together, then we need to function as one body to accomplish things in unity.
Jesus is the one building the church, we are partnering with Jesus and working with Jesus to accomplish His desires here on earth.
