Once for All Time
Listen
Good Morning and Greetings in Jesus name! Welcome to this amazing new day.
I hope that the Lord is working on your heart, He is knocking on your emotions, your intellect, your will, your desire, everything in you today is being invited into a relationship with God, into living for the Lord’s glory, into bringing honour to Him.
If we will go down to the basics, everything comes down to this one thing, how can we live for God’s will here on the earth, how can we live for God’s purposes? It is not about how much we can do to become successful or famous or impactful on earth; it’s about how can we achieve God’s will here on earth.
The best example of this is Jesus himself, which was the prayer Jesus prayed during His time on earth. We would see this in Hebrews 10:9, ‘Here I am, I have come to do your will.’
This is the prayer Jesus is praying to the Father, ‘I have come not just to become a big, famous personality on the earth, but I have come to do your will, to accomplish what you have in your heart, to fulfill your desires on the earth.’
That is the purpose, the goal with which Jesus has come. Jesus cancelled the first covenant in order to put the second into effect. Paul is trying to explain to us how Jesus fulfilled the will of His Father. He cancelled the first covenant by His death on the cross, He lived a pure, perfect life.
According to the first covenant the one who has sinned has to die, but Jesus who had no sin in Him, no struggle, no challenge in Him, in His character; this Jesus was put to death according to the law, inspite of Him becoming completely sinless. Now that made Him not the sinner, but He became the ransom for our sin. In doing so, He canceled the first covenant and He put the second covenant into effect.
Hebrews 10:10, ‘For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all time.’ This was God’s will, this was the second covenant, the covenant that was established on the cross by Jesus himself.
Now, all that we need to do is to believe it, receive it and say yes to this covenant and function under the grace available in this covenant and we will be able to glorify God and we will be able to do His will. It says that His will for us was to be made holy by the sacrifice of Jesus, not by our own efforts, our own abilities, or by our own willpower, but by the sacrifice the body of Jesus went through here on the earth.
Our sacrifices don’t mean anything in the economy of heaven, only the sacrifice of the body of Jesus is able to cleanse us, to purify us, to make us holy, to impute the righteousness of God into us, to make us a whole new person, to give us a life that is completely different from the previous life that we had, our belief in this sacrificial death of Jesus unites us and makes us one with Him in the spirit, and it is that oneness, that intimacy that allows for us to be holy, to produce Godly results, Godly fruits here on the earth, through our character, our relationships, our conversations, our going out and coming in.
In everything when we are one with God, with the Holy spirit, with the glorious beauty of the King of Kings, we will automatically begin to represent Him here on the earth. I am not saying that we will be perfect, to the degree we are one with Him, to that same degree we are going to be able to represent Him, to reproduce Him, to imitate Him here on the earth.
The bible says, God’s will for us was to be made holy by the sacrifice of Jesus once and for all. Jesus doesn’t have to keep dying, that one sacrificial death is powerful enough to cleanse you of all sins – past, present and future. It is able to break every bondage in your life.
God doesn't have to do anything new today, that one death is able to heal you of every sickness, there is no fresh power required from heaven to cleanse or to remove anything today. Share on XEverything that had to be done is already done on the cross, once and for all that power has been released, has been made available for anybody that will believe in it, tap into it, receive from it, apply it and even distribute it to others; that power is available, that freedom, that forgiveness is available, that breakthrough is now available.
May the Lord strengthen you every day for the rest of this week, for the rest of this day, for the rest of this hour to bring glory and honour to God.
Will you believe that this is God’s will for you, that you be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all time?
Lord Jesus, thank you for this revelation, cause our hearts to remain focused and fixed on you, because the more we look to you, the more we look like you, in Jesus name we pray. Amen
