Godly Sorrow
Just see what this godly sorrow produced in you! Such earnestness, such concern to clear yourselves, such indignation, such alarm, such longing to see me, such zeal, and such a readiness to punish wrong. You showed that you have done everything necessary to make things right. – 2 Corinthians 7:11

Good morning and Greetings in Jesus’ name. When the Lord speaks to us, when He teaches us divine principles, there are going to be habits and parts of our life that we need to change and shed off. We need to bring about these changes with a right heart and not a complaining heart. May the corrections and changes that the Lord wants to bring in our lives begin at a heart level. We need to bring the corrections and changes in our lives with a right heart and not a complaining heart. Share on X
Apostle Paul gave a fierce correction to the church at Corinth. Let’s see their response. 2 Corinthians 7:11 says, “Just see what this godly sorrow produced in you! Such earnestness, such concern to clear yourselves, such indignation, such alarm, such longing to see me, such zeal, and such a readiness to punish wrong. You showed that you have done everything necessary to make things right.” The way in which the church at Corinth responded to Paul’s correction was with godly sorrow. If the correction does not affect you then you have not received correction from your heart. Godly sorrow produced certain things inside their hearts. The first thing that it produced was earnestness. The church at Corinth received the corrections sincerely. The second thing that it produced was a concern to clear themselves of their wrongs. They were working on clearing their hearts and conscience from all the wrongs they have done. The third thing it produced was indignation. The church was annoyed with sin and with what the enemy had brought into the church. May some of you experience a holy indignation towards your sins! Fourth thing that they had was alarm. Their spirits were active to catch any intrusions or problems that would allow the enemy to enter the church or their hearts. They had a longing to see Apostle Paul. It was added with a zeal. Hope this word becomes a revelation to you. When the Lord or teachers brings correction in your life, may our response be different.Get This Episode
