Greetings in Jesus’ name.
The Lord has been protecting us and keeping us in his shade, making sure nothing is going to harm us, instead, it is going to be turned out for our good. As Children of God, we need to believe that all things, i.e. our circumstances, enemies, struggles, problems, will work together for our good and for the glory of God.

Let’s read from Numbers – 10:9, the Bible says, “When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.” Here, Moses was establishing protocols and principles that had to be activated, once the people of Israel entered into their Promised land and begin to live there. Moses gives clear instructions on how to protect their promises and how to continue to stay in the blessings that the Lord has already given them. One of the dangers of living in a land of promise or a land of blessing is that, people are going to be envious about it! Now, they will want to oppress us and suddenly they will become our enemies. Nobody wants to fight, steal or destroy something that is of no value. So, when we are attacked remember, the enemy considers the fruit on your tree as valuable and that’s a sign, we have entered into our promise.

Moses goes on to say that, when we are in our Promised land, and the enemy comes to attack us, we should blow the trumpet with a loud noise, and, this noise has to be so loud that it’ll be heard in the entire land of Israel. Now, something that we need to understand about the character of God is that, he doesn’t necessarily need a trumpet or a prayer or a declaration or something on our side as a reminder. And yet, he will wait to see whether we are going to depend on him and, call out to him for an answer, for a rescue. Hence, the Bible says, when we take up our trumpet and blow it, with the loudest of noise, then, we will be remembered before Yahweh, our Lord.

This day, let’s be intentional in doing something, specifically to be remembered in heaven. We may think, blowing of trumpet is about how loud we pray or how passionately we pray. However, each of us, we can blow the trumpet in different ways. You can define your own trumpet, to be remembered before God – It could be worship, altars, declaring the word of God or promises of God. For some of us, it’s just becoming still and doing nothing. Several times, God told Israelites, just be still and see how I am going to fight for you. This is a season of rest and restoration. When the sounds of our trumpet reaches Heaven, God will come down to rescue and redeem us, so, let’s be prepared for change, expect our enemies to retreat and compromise. Expect, our enemies to bow down in the mighty name of Jesus.

You become a threat to the enemy, only when you bear fruits that is of value. Share on X
