Generation of the Righteous
Psalm 14:5 (ESV)
“There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.”

Transcript:
When we are the generation of the righteous, God is with us. And, when he is with us, he will cause terror in the enemies’ camp. This is a specific favour given to the righteous (the sons and daughters of God). Those who are against our God, will come against us with schemes and strategies but it will be at their own risk. The peril they will face will be great because they’ll be in great terror. They will be struck and surrounded by the fear of God.
In the Old testament, Pharaoh had taken Abraham’s wife Sarah to be one of his concubines. She is living in his house, and yet God did not allow Pharaoh to touch her. The Bible says God put a plague over Pharaoh’s house because of her presence. The same Sarah who was a blessing in Abraham’s house became a curse to Pharaoh’s house! That is the power and favour this woman of God carried. Anyone who trespassed her personal space or tried to violate her faced the wrath of God and encountered the fear of God.
The same way, anyone that tries to violate us or what belongs to us, will face the fear of God. We have the grace to walk in such supernatural favour wherever we go, because God is with us.

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
