Spiritual Prostitution
Listen
Transcript:
When we think about mediums, we normally think about black magic and spiritual witchcraft and even as we are not involved in such dangerous practices, we have our own way of committing spiritual prostitution.
We run to consult prophets and pastors. We do not hear from God but we tend to reply on outside sources just because we are not willing to pay a price to hear from God.
The new testament teaches us to honour and receive from the prophets but the problem is that that we tend to consult them just because we don’t want to hear from God ourselves by not spending time in the presence of Jesus and paying a price to hear from God ourselves.
It is understandable when God has given you a word you reach to prophets and preachers for confirmation but what has happened now is that we have made them as our mediums to hear from God.
God is not speaking to prophets or ministers but He is speaking to us through Jesus, through His Spirit!
God is saying that when God speaks to us, it is intimate, it is a seed that God plants in us. The only way to hear from God is to set yourself apart and have a deep and personal relationship with Him.
Don’t wait another day to hear from God yourself, start today!

Feel For Him
Acts 17:27 (GNT)
He did this so that they would look for him, and perhaps find him as they felt around for him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us.
Lock the Door
Matthew 23:13 (GNT)
““How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You lock the door to the Kingdom of heaven in people’s faces, but you yourselves don’t go in, nor do you allow in those who are trying to enter!”
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
