Good morning and Greetings in Jesus’ name!
Today the Lord wants us to be reaffirmed in our identity. Who are we here on the earth? what are we doing here? Who are we following here on the earth? Do we have the assurance that the work we are doing here will have eternal significance? What is the drive or goal of our life?
The answer to these questions boils down to the question of identity! Who we are? Whose we are? Whom are we imitating? How sure are we about the foundation of our identity?
Isaiah 48:12 – “Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he. I am the first. I am also the last.”
The Lord was speaking to this nation that was trusting idols and were backsliding. God was speaking to them and revealing Himself to them. God says that this nation has to listen to Him and pay attention to Him.
Here is the first lesson for us this morning: Our identity is revealed in our willingness and in our ability to hear the voice of God. If we are not able to hear and understand to what God is speaking, then we will completely miss out on who we are!
In the mentioned verse, God calls the nation in both their present and past identity. Jacob was their past and Israel was their present identity.
Sometimes when we think of our identity, we want to suppress our weaknesses. But when God addresses us, He sees us as weak as we are, and yet He just doesn’t limit us to our weaknesses, but now He declares Israel over Jacob. God doesn’t dismiss our old identity but rather He calls out the Jacob and declares an Israel over the Jacob.
The Lord is telling the nation of Israel that they are His; they are called by God; they are chosen and specifically handpicked by Him and this is what gives them significance and acceptance in His presence.
It was not the fact that Jacob had stopped lying and cheating, but it was God’s hand upon Jacob’s life that transformed him from a Jacob to Israel and it was because Jacob was called, he had God’s favor and God’s presence resting upon him, that he stopped to lie and cheat.
Now, God is revealing who He is. He is the first and also the last; the alpha and the omega. God wants to be everything in our life. There should be nothing that should be outside of God’s presence or outside of God’s guidance. Let’s acknowledge the Jacob areas in our life and let also receive the blessings of Israel who is called by the Lord.
Lets pray: Father we thank you for the grace that is given to us today. We thank you for the blessing and the favor. We believe Lord that today we will know who we are; who you are, the beginning and the end, the everything that you are. help us to surrender to this revelation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Lock the Door
Matthew 23:13 (GNT)
““How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You lock the door to the Kingdom of heaven in people’s faces, but you yourselves don’t go in, nor do you allow in those who are trying to enter!”
Healing and Bandaging
Psalms 147:2-3 (GNB)
“The LORD is restoring Jerusalem; he is bringing back the exiles. He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.”
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
