I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temples. – Revelation 21:22
Transcript:

You may be preparing to finish this year at a high. You would be wanting to do everything possible to give God your best. I invite you to recalculate, reinvestigate and see if there is an area of your life where you fall short of the glory of God, of the purposes of God. When you find such a thing in your life, you bring it to the feet of Jesus and lay it down today. Let Him transform you into a completely new person who would enter into the new year with a fresh vision and understanding.

Revelation 21:22 I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb, are its temple.

It is talking about Heaven. In this city was there no temple, neither a need for one. It is because the Lord Almighty lived in this city. The Lamb of God lived in this city. The fact that the father and the Son lived in this city made the need for a temple redundant, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

A temple is a sacred, safe place where people can worship, encounter, and hear from God. It is a dwelling place for encounters between God and man. The Bible says that because God is there because Jesus is there, you don’t need another temple. That presence, that manifestation of the Father and the Lamb is enough for people to now experience, hear, and walk-in close relationship with God in that new Jerusalem.

You and I are the temple of God here on earth. You are the place of encounter for the people of the world to experience our God. Through you, people can experience Heaven on earth. You are where God resides.

We do not only carry His presence, people encounter His presence through us. A temple is not for just showing off God’s presence, but also for attracting others to the presence of God. A temple’s purpose is also to provide an acceptable way to worship God. That’s what we are called to be on this planet.

A temple’s purpose is to provide an acceptable way to worship God and that is our calling. Share on X

Let God’s presence be in you, and in your church so that there is no requirement for any other temple.

Lock the Door

Matthew 23:13 (GNT)

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.

The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.

God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.

The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
