We are in the presence of God, seeking a new touch, blessing and victory from him. We need to be aware that the Lord is constantly working to defend us. One of the things that the enemy does to take us down is not necessarily the physical attacks that we face but the verbal attacks we face from people around us.
Matthew 26:10 explains, Jesus defending and fighting for the woman, speaking up and vindicating her. If you are intentional about doing a good thing for the Lord, his righteousness, his Kingdom, you can expect criticism. If you are not criticized and everybody is happy with you then there is a big problem there.
We have to evaluate ourselves if we are really doing this for the Lord, then it is impossible not to be criticized. Jesus said if I got persecuted and called all sort of names, then what are they going to call you? How are they going to treat you? How are they going to persecute you? Just because you are criticized doesn’t mean you are all wrong, it is not a criterion to evaluate yourself if you are right or wrong.
Anybody can do good things when they are been celebrated. But the real test of what you want to do for the Lord is not times when people are happy with you and everything is going well, the real test is are you going to stick to what you are going to be doing?
What you are assigned to do? What you are called to do? What you are convinced about? Even when you face criticism? Are you going to continue doing the right thing? Are you going to keep up your good work through your work of worship, of evangelism, through prayer, through discipleship?
The Bible says when Jesus saw the woman and He saw nobody is going to defend or fight for her, and the whole crowd is against her, the Bible says JESUS CAME TO HER DEFENCE. Jesus did the same to Saul who was persecuting the Church, Jesus said to him, why are you persecuting Me?.
You can expect God to speak, fight and vindicate for you when you are constant in doing the good work that you are supposed to be doing. Defending you is not your task, defending the Kingdom of God and the word of God is your task, but your task is not to defend your own honour, integrity and finances, let the Lord fight for you, when you stay calm and still you are going to let God be God in your life.
Do not let the voices of criticisms, the verbal attack that has been unleashed to take ground in your life. Will you trust in the Lord this morning? Will you continue to do the good that has been entrusted into your hands?
May the Lord cause this day ahead to be one where you are fruitful, productive and represent the kingdom of God in every day.
Have a blessed and fruitful day ahead!

Dedicate to Me
Exodus 13:2 (NLT)
“Dedicate to me every firstborn among the Israelites. The first offspring to be born, of both humans and animals, belongs to me.”
Place of Rest
Luke 9:58 NLT
But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.”
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
