Now Arise
2 Chronicles 6:41 (NLT)
““And now arise, O LORD God, and enter your resting place, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power. May your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation; may your loyal servants rejoice in your goodness.”
Listen
Based on 2 Chronicles 6:41, this message draws attention to three important prayers: that God’s presence and power would fill our lives, that His priests and spiritual leaders would be clothed with salvation and preserved, and that His faithful servants would rejoice in His goodness. Just as Solomon’s temple was dedicated as a resting place for the Lord, we are encouraged to make our homes, workplaces, churches, studies, and every area of our lives places where God can reveal Himself. We are also reminded to pray for the leaders God has placed in our lives, asking Him to protect and strengthen them as they serve His people. Finally, serving God should not be a joyless burden. Because He is good, we can choose to celebrate His goodness with gratitude, praise, and joy, whatever season we are walking through.
