By My Spirit

Good morning and greetings in Jesus name. This is a new day! The Lord is promising good things for us, every time we tap into his heart and his mind, when we understand his ways, his plans and his purposes will be revealed to us. We will be able to see things from a new perspective than before and we never understood before. In the book of Zechariah 4:6 Then he said to me, “This is the what the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. This is the Lord giving a prophetic word to Zerubbabel. He was in the midst of a crisis. There were enemies trying to take over the nation, and trying to destroy everything that God was trying to restore in the nation and here is a general, a man of God, somebody who is anointed and appointed by the heart of God and this is what he is telling him ” I want you to be assured that I am going to fight for you. I want you to be assured that you will come out as a victorious person. I want you to be assured that you will not fail; however, Zerubbabel, it is not going to be because of the force.“
Now, in the natural you may go out and create an army that has muscle power, that army when it comes together, there is a momentum, a force, a display of all the splendour that you guys have all the weaponry, the shields and swords that you have. Now in the natural, that may be necessary but the victory will not be due to force or momentum. Victory will not be because of your splendour or your victory or your power that is not the reason or the source of your victory. Then God goes on to say “It is not even going to be my strength”
Now if you understand the context, all the power these guys have is coming from God. Now even the strength that they have is from God. The Lord signs off by saying “I am the Lord of heaven’s armies.” If there is one person who can show off his strength and a show of His force and a show of power, it is the show of the Lord of heaven. He can send armies of angels from heaven to sort out all of the problems of Zerubbabel. Yet God says “It is not even going to be my strength. I know you are strong Zerubabbel. I know you have become mighty, you’re mature and strong in your understanding, relationships and you are strong with the way that you handle your finances. You are strong in different aspects of life and you want to fight these battles based on the strength that you have acquired based on your experiences and based on the force that you have accumulated, yet the Lord says ”it is not going to be because of the force or power nor strength or maturity, but it is going to be by my spirit.
The Father is speaking to a man that he wants to use and he says “it is going to be through the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit, is absolute in my force. When the Holy Spirit is not the strength in my veins or not the strength in my relationships, then victory is not assured. In fact, I may get the victory. In fact, it may look like it’s working out for my benefit or it may look like the enemy is fleeing, yet the Lord is saying “True victory is when you depend on my spirit”. Now depending on God’s spirit can be dangerous sometimes. When the people of Israel were asked to cross over from Jordan to take over Jericho, God told them to go and get circumcised.
Now, a man is at his most vulnerable and at his weakest point, when he is circumcised. Now the enemy can come in and kill him completely, kill the entire nation and yet God’s spirit told him to get every male in Israel to circumcise them. That is how it feels to sometimes, depend on the Holy Spirit, it makes us feel vulnerable and weak in the natural. We may have to give up our show of strength, our show of force, all the power, experience and maturity that we have been boasting about and banking upon, we may have to lay it all down but when we are willing to be led by the Holy Spirit. Church, I want you to depend on the Holy Spirit to come like a mighty, rushing wind and take over and He will be the strength in your weakness and the breath in your nostrils to turn every circumstance around, so let me speak to you. “The Lord of Heaven’s armies is saying “it is not by force nor by strength, but by the Holy Spirit, that you will bear fruit.”
Father, we bless your children. It is by the Holy Spirit that will cause their eyes to be open to seeing the possibilities of everything the Holy Spirit can birth in and through them, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!

Feel For Him
Acts 17:27 (GNT)
He did this so that they would look for him, and perhaps find him as they felt around for him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us.
Lock the Door
Matthew 23:13 (GNT)
““How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You lock the door to the Kingdom of heaven in people’s faces, but you yourselves don’t go in, nor do you allow in those who are trying to enter!”
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
