Conversations About Jesus

Good morning and Greetings in Jesus’ name.
Today we need to understand the power of our conversations, words, things we discuss with other people. These words and conversations have the potential to invite God’s presence and encounters with Jesus. It also has the potential to make God leave the room. If we can be careful with the content of our conversations and direct our discussions and words to what really matters, we will see the presence of God manifest.

Luke 24:15 says, “As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them.”
We get to know that these people were discussing about all the things that were going on in Jerusalem, about Jesus being crucified and how the disciples were living in fear. As they were discussing and talking about Jesus, Jesus himself joined their conversation and walked with them through their journey.
In verse 36 of the same chapter we see that as they were recounting the story to other disciples, Jesus suddenly was standing among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
As they discussed their encounter with Jesus to the other disciples, Jesus suddenly appeared to all of them, and now those who were listening also became receivers of the same encounter.

We need to understand the power of our conversation; we need to select the topic of our conversations very wisely. It is essential that we point people to Jesus through our every conversation.
When we make Jesus the center of attention of all our conversation, it automatically creates an environment of encounters. Share on X
It will become a natural thing for bondages to break, for people to give their life to Jesus.

Usually when we converse with people, we naturally tend to take all the attention and draw people to ourselves. But in days to come, may our pattern of conversation change. May our conversations direct people to Jesus. The more we talk about our encounters with Jesus, His goodness and kindness, the more it creates an environment for people to taste and see that this Jesus is good and they will experience the same encounters we have experienced.

Let’s pray: Father we thank you for your grace and mercy over your children. Wherever they are, speak to them, reveal to them on how to start conversations about Jesus in their workplace, homes, in the most normal environment. Give them the grace to do the same. We give you all the praise, in Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
