In Company With Jesus

It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. – Ephesians 2:1-6

Transcript: This podcast is a repost originally published on January 19, 2016 When you live in sin, you’ll have no joy. But when you spend time in the presence of God your heart will be filled with joy. Jesus gave you a valuable gift of life when He died for you on that cross. He did all this out of His mercy. He brought a shift from your previous situation to current situation. Now you have relationship with Him and access to God. Now you have life, joy and purpose for living. The Father gave His Son and the Son gave Himself up so that we can receive the Holy Spirit. So when we received the Holy Spirit, He changed our position from where we were yesterday to the position of where we are today. When you have Jesus, everything else will be unimportant. My prayer for you today is that you will enjoy this position that you have in Christ Jesus. Prayer: “Lord I pray for a spirit of courage, boldness, and strength over my friend that he/she will know the real position in You. Let them know from where to where You have elevated them. And will have an encounter with that love, mercy, grace and favour that can do the change. I pray and bless them in Jesus name. Amen. God bless you!

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.

The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.

God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.

The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
