Overcome & Troubled

by | Dec 1, 2021 | Revelation

Then I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for several days. Afterward I got up and performed my duties for the king, but I was greatly troubled by the vision and could not understand it. – Daniel: 8: 27

Transcript:

One of the Prophets in the Bible that heard a lot about the last days was Daniel. In the verse today, Daniel was led by God to keep the vision secret. Some of the things Daniel saw are actually taking place in our day and time. Because it didn’t apply to his day and time, It was hard for him to grasp the practical truth of it and He was overtaken by the information that was given to him. He did not take the vision for granted but he was overcome. He let the burden that was put in his Spirit overflow into his soul And even into his physical realm. He was seeing what was happening during the last days and this vision came with a postscript which showed that would only happen after a long time. If we were in Daniels place, it would have been taken easily but here is a Prophet and a true man of God. Several days passed by because of this. Daniel could not understand because there was no full revelation of Jesus, what was to come. We are on a side of history which John saw and that is Jesus the resurrected one. We are on the side that understands that we will come out victorious in all of our battles. Daniel didn’t have the privilege of experiencing Jesus in an unimaginable measure and when we have that revelation of Jesus, We cannot be overcome by grief but we should be overcome with a passion to see Gods kingdom established in our city and nation. When the Lord gives us a vision that should lead us to go to a place of greater intercession and evangelism.

Daniel was greatly troubled by this vision because he could not understand it but thank God for the revelations. Praying that we have understanding and thanks be to God for the full vision to understand what the prophets wrote about what the visions mean. We are blessed and we will understand the prophetic insight that the Lord wants to give us.
When we have a revelation of Jesus we cannot be overcome by sickness or grief. Share on X

Prayer: Dear Jesus we pray for a fresh download of the prophetic realm and dimension. Let your children see and taste of things to come, What will come in the coming months, let it be revealed to your children and let them pray and move with passion like never before to see your kingdom established in Jesus name. Amen.

Lock the Door

Matthew 23:13 (GNT)

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.

The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.

God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.

The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
