Save Our Souls
Listen
Transcript:
Everyday that God gives us, we have to live with a focus that we are made to glorify God. If we do this, it will help us to shed everything that comes our way to worship God.
James, in chapter 1 speaks to the believers that have found salvation, he tells to get rid of all uncleanness and wickedness.
Though we may be part of a church, praying and worshiping, but we and God knows that there are traces of uncleanness and wickedness in our hearts.
Righteousness is our position and purity is a gift given by God once we receive Jesus as our Saviour.
We need to make this an occupation of ours to get rid of all uncleanness and wickedness from our hearts when we want to live for God. And when we allow God’s word to work in us, the seed of God’s word gets watered and grows.
And when you do this, the bible says that this word that is planted in your heart is able to save your souls.
So James, mentions three things:
1. To get rid of all uncleanness and traces wickedness
2. To constantly practice to receive the word of God
3. And by doing this you will be able to save your souls
For our souls to be saved there is a longer process than just a personal salvation experience.
What is in the part of your soul?
You emotions, you mind, your intellect, your logic – everything needs to be transformed. And this happens only when you allow the word fo God that is planted in your spirit to flourish, blossom and to bring about a permanent result.
I pray that you are not just satisfied with the salvation of your spirit, but you will go further where your soul also receives transformation which is made possible by the Holy Spirit.
It is the Word of God that is planted in your heart which has the power to save your souls. Share on XGet This Episode
