The power of our tongue is great. The small things like the bit in the mouth of a horse or the rudder in a ship control the speed of the horse or the direction of the ship and in the same way is the tongue in our mouth.
The tongue has the ability to speak, create and do things without actually doing itself. It may not have the ability to think, rationalize and reason, but whatever comes out of it even though it’s a small part of our body, it has tremendous applications and possibilities.
So often, we explain our way, defend ourselves, argue, sell products, etc. and do all those things by making grand speeches, but a tiny spark that comes out it can set a great forest on fire, the bible says. The entire conversation may not necessarily be something that is going to hurt somebody, put down somebody or humiliate any person, but it can have one small element, word or statement that has the capacity to set a great forest on fire. So, it is very important for us to pay attention and make sure that in the midst of the grand speeches, random conversations, public speaking or private conversations, we do not let one small tiny spark to come out of it.
Bible narrates an incident where Jesus acknowledged Peter that he spoke a revelation from the Father in heaven, but immediately after that, he said something that made Jesus to say ‘get behind me Satan’. There was a tiny spark that came out of Peter’s word which had the potential to ruin the salvation of the entire humanity and that is why Jesus immediately locked down on that word and said Satan you need to get behind.
If we are not careful to let the Holy Spirit quench the tiny spark that our words carry, then it can set a forest on fire.
Let us pray that every tiny spark that destroys our forest of faith, ruins our financial prosperity, stealing our blessings, healings, relationship and possessions be quenched by the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. May the Lord enable us to be filled in the Holy Spirit and even in our tongue so that the tongue will make speeches, but there will be absolutely no spark from the enemy, in fact, it will have the fire but it will be of the Holy Spirit.

Feel For Him
Acts 17:27 (GNT)
He did this so that they would look for him, and perhaps find him as they felt around for him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us.
Lock the Door
Matthew 23:13 (GNT)
““How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You lock the door to the Kingdom of heaven in people’s faces, but you yourselves don’t go in, nor do you allow in those who are trying to enter!”
Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.
The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.
God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.
The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
