The Lord’s Pleasure

The LORD does whatever pleases him throughout all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths. – Psalms 135:6
Transcript:

Many of us may be going through different situations and circumstances in life that make us doubt that God is in control. The fact that we are continually coming to listen to what God is speaking and submitting to his ways is proof that He is in charge of our lives and He is in full control. There is no moment in our lives that goes unplanned or without Gods hand.

Today’s verse says the Lord does whatever pleases Him. We have seen how clouds rose, rains pour and lightning struck and this has shown us some bit of the heavens the earth and the seas and one thing we do not realise is that all that happens in the physical realm happens in accordance to the Lord’s pleasure.

We may look at nature and worry about certain aspects of it. There are times when there are natural disasters that take lives in certain places of the world and we wonder what is the purpose behind all of it. We can see in the world today that God is in charge of the whole earth. Can we make a choice to apply this principle in our daily life? There will be times when we will find ourselves caught up in a hurricane or a flood of earthquakes happening in our head but we should choose to come back to what the scriptures say.

There is absolutely nothing that happens in our lives that is outside of God's Knowledge. Share on X

There is absolutely nothing that happens in our lives that is outside of Gods Knowledge, control or approval. If the enemy had the guts to come near us, it is because God allowed him. In essence not that we continue to tolerate the enemy or live in sickness or peacelessness but understand that God is in control. When we understand that it becomes easier to tap into the peace of God and declare this peace over every one of our circumstances. Jesus saw when his disciples freaking out in the middle of the storm he asked where their faith was. The disciples forgot that God was still on the throne and He controls everything for his pleasure and that is why they acted outside of faith, in fear and self-doubt and indifferent emotions that did not glorify God. Today let us choose not to tolerate the storm but have authority over the storms but the way we do that is by understanding that the Lord does what pleases him, he is sovereign and We have understood that He does what pleases him and even though inexperienced, the fact that we have walked with God is enough to know that we can overcome any situation and tackle any challenge.

Lock the Door

Psalm 147:2–3 reveals God's heart as a Restorer rather than a Punisher. Although Israel went into exile because of its own rebellion, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He promised to restore Jerusalem, bring the exiles home, heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds.

The message reminds us that while God may use friends, pastors, counselors, or loved ones to help us, true healing and restoration ultimately come from the Lord. His restoration reaches every part of our lives—our hearts, relationships, health, finances, emotions, and spiritual walk.

God knows every wound, including those hidden from others. Unlike people, who can only comfort from the outside, He sees the deepest parts of our hearts and heals completely. His healing is so complete that even the scars of past pain lose their power to define us.

The devotion encourages believers to fix their eyes on God instead of relying solely on human help. No matter how far someone has drifted, how many mistakes they have made, or how broken they feel, God is still calling them back. His desire is to restore, heal, and make all things beautiful in His perfect timing.
